Thank you for your interest in my company. My name is Brian Greul. I am a Licensed Texas Professional Real Estate Inspector, License Number 24271 and Texas Department of Agriculture Structural Pest Control Service Termite Technician License 0844324. I became an inspector because I enjoy helping others and have an eye for details. I started GreenLight Inspections in 2020 because I enjoy helping buyers, sellers, investors, and others with an interest in real estate to learn about the condition of their property at the time of the inspection. Whether it’s the foundation, the roof, electrical system, Heat and Air Conditioning, or another part of the home or building, my role is to examine the building and it’s systems and educate the client about the good and the bad.

I have a wide background of experiences that help me to be a better inspector and to help you the client.  I have managed commercial retail, office, high-rise, light-industrial, and residential construction projects.  I have hands on experience in many of the trades including electrical, plumbing, sheetrock, roofing, glazing (windows), doors, tile, cabinets, telecom and sitework.  Having built, expanded, and maintained my own residential and commercial buildings as well as working on projects for others gives me a solid background that can help you with property you need inspected.  I have a wealth of experience with classic (1930’s) and mid-century (1960’s) property and understand the unique charm and issues that come with both.
My degree is a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Technology with a minor in Industrial Supervision.  In plain English that’s computers and management.  I worked for a number of years in the IT space as a manager, director, consultant, and network engineer.  I eventually decided to do something different and started a dot com based company in the promotional products / marketing space.  After that venture I went back into the corporate space as the IT Director at a global non-profit in the building/facility management space.  I enjoyed helping that organization transform it’s Information Technology to position it for future success.  After 5 years my work there was done and I decided that I wanted to do something “not in the office.”  So I became an Independent Insurance Adjuster to be able to help people recover from disasters.  I very much enjoyed that work, but disliked the constant travel and some of the corporate non-sense that seemed to trickle down.

Along the way I’ve been where you are, buying and selling houses, renovating houses, leasing commercial space, building commercial buildings and needing someone to be my guide as to the condition of the building. Someone to translate building-speak into plain English and help me understand if something is dangerous, in need of an upgrade, or something that I may want to learn to live with.

I look forward to working with you and helping you on your real estate journey.
